JIPMER PG Exam Date, Application Form, Registration

JIPMER or Jawaharlal Institute of Post graduate Medical Education Research organizes entrance test for admission into Post graduate in Medical field. This entrance examination was earlier named as JIPMER PG and now is replaced with Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test, commonly known as INI CET. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is the competent authority for INI CET, a national level examination for PG Medical level courses (6years) including Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and M.Ch in JIPMER campuses. The examination has two sessions, January and July session. For January session, the forms are available from September to November. For July session, the registration process will be conducted since March to May 2024, and examination will be held in 4th week of June 2024. JIPMER PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidate can either be an Indian or NRI or OCI in order to be eligible to fill in the Application form.

Foreign nationals need to take prior permission from Medical council of India.

The applicant must carry MBBS or BDSdegree as per the course from a recognised Medical council of India with minimum of 55% marks (reservation of 5% is granted to students of SC/ ST category).

The applicant must have completed internship of 12 months on or before 30th June 2022.

JIPMER PG 2024 Application Form Details

The Application form will be available on official website and no mode other than the online will be entertained.

The form has to be filled in in two steps – basic registration and final registration.

The registration is the first step, and it requires contact details, including mobile number and E-mail Id which must be correct and in working condition as same will be used for future correspondence and OTP for further use.

Successful registration will result in creation of login Id and password, which will be confirmed on mail id.

The next step is login into the account using the login credentials and filling up of the form with personal details and educational qualification, which must be correct.

The form will ask to choose the preference for examination city too.

The photograph and digital signature in the prescribed format needs to be uploaded next.

The registration form will demand examination fee, which can be submitted through Debit card or credit card or net banking.

The examination fee for General/ EWS/ OBC/ OCI category students is Rs.1600. The fee for SC/ ST students is Rs.1200, foreign nationals Rs.3000, and OPH candidates are exempted from fee.

The form needs to submitted once all the details are rechecked and verified for their authenticity.

The candidates are advised to download and save the filled in application form for future reference.

JIPMER PG 2024 Exam Pattern

The examination will be held in online mode only.

The examination for January session used to be held in December and for July session, the probable month is June.

The examination will be held in English language.

The duration for MD/ MS examination is 3 hours and for MDS, it is 1.5 hours.

The question asked will be of multiple choice type.

Total number of questions in MD/ MS examination is 250, and in MDS, 100.

The correct answer will be awarded with 4 marks and 1 mark will be d ducted in case of wrong answers. However, there is no provision of negative marking in case of no answers.

The questions from two subjects are being asked, i.e., Clinical Science and Basic Clinical Science.

JIPMER PG 2024 Admit Card

The admit card will be available on official website in November for January session and in June for July session. The students can download the admit cards with the help of login credentials provided at the time of registration. The admit card will be posted on the mobile number and E-mail Id provided at the time of registration also.The examination and personal details of candidate are printed on admit card and in case of any discrepancy, they are advised to contact admission council of JIPMER, Puducherry. The students are advised to take print out of the downloaded admit card as applicants will not be allowed to enter into the examination hall without admit card. Along with hall ticket, a valid ID card and passport size photograph are compulsory to bring over at the hall. The applicants are advised to read and follow the instructions imprinted on the hall ticket in order to avoid any mayhem afterwards. The students are advised to keep the admit card till the completion of admission process.

JIPMER PG 2024 Result

The result will be declared in the month of December for January session and in the month of July for July session on the official website by competent authority, I.e., JIPMER, Puducherry. The candidates can download the same with the help of login credentials provided earlier. The result is announced in the term of merit list and candidate who equal or more than cut off marks will be named in merit list. The students will be provided with personal rank list online, which includes personal details of candidates and examination details along with marks and rank obtained.Merit list and cut off will be prepared as per the category and reservation laws. The qualified candidates will then be called for offline counselling process in the Puducherry campus.Students who are being called for, must be present at the scheduled date and time with required documents. Counselling process will be done in three rounds including registration, document verification, fee payment and allotment. The seat allotment after the document verification is done on the basis of seat availability, preference and rank of the candidate. The students need to submit the fee after successful counselling, in order to reserve the seat and get admission into the chosen college and course.
