NDA 2024-25 Application From, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus: NDA or National Defense Academy is an examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission in search of candidates eligible for defense training academies of Air force, Indian military and Indian Navy. Examination is held twice in the year. Tentative months of examination of April in September each year. The candidate have to go through written test, interview and medical examination in order to get eligibility for admission in National level Defense Academies. NDA 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
Candidate who have passed or appearing in 10 + 2 or intermediate or Senior Secondary school Examination can apply for army wing of National Defence Academy examination.
Candidate who have passed or appearing in 10 + 2 or intermediate or senior secondary examination with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects can apply for Naval and Airforce wing of National Defence Academy examination.
Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Citizen of Bhutan, Nepal or refugee of Tibet can apply if came to India before 1st January 1962 with a true intention to permanently settle in India.
Indian origin person migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries and Sri Lanka with an intention to permanently settle in India.
Foreign Nationals can apply but eligibility certificate issued by government of India needs to be produced.
Age limit of candidate should be within 16.5 to 19.5 years.
Physical fitness as per standards set by commission of National Defence Academy is mandatory.
Person who earlier have resigned or withdrawn from any training academies of forces are not eligible to apply.
Female and married man cannot apply for National Defence Academy examination.
NDA 2024-25 Exam Application Form
Examination form can be filled only through online mode and offline mode of application is not available.
Only one application form should be submitted. Even if more than one form is submitted, the form with latest application number is accepted, declining the rest.
The application form consists of two parts – part I and part II.
Part I includes basic personal and educational details and Part II consists of details like examination centre, payment of fee and uploading of photo and digital signature.
The application fee can be deposited through credit or debit card or net banking or Challan of State Bank of India.
Reserved category applicants are exempted from the examination fee.
NDA 2024-25 Examination Pattern
Examination is being held in offline mode with language choice of English and Hindi.
The paper consists of two sections with objective type questions.
Time provided to complete each section is 2.5 hours stretching the examination to the total of 5 hours.
Section I is Mathematics paper with total of 300 marks. It consists of topics like Geometry, Integration, Algebra and Trigonometry.
Section II is a general ability test with total of 600 marks. The topics include general English, Comprehension, Physics, General Science, Geography and Current Events.
The wrong answers will be penalized with deduction of 1/4th of total marks allotted to that question. No answer will not be responsible for any negative marking.
Interview round will be of 900 marks and candidates who have qualified in written examination can appear into interview only.
NDA 2024-25 Admit card
Admit card is essential to appear into the examination hall. It is designated to be issued before 30 days of examination date. The candidates need to download the admit card from official website by entering credentials for login. The login ID and password is provided once the application form is submitted. Admit card includes date, time and venue of examination centre and other credentials and instructions. Applicants need to read and follow instructions carefully in order to avoid any misconduct.
NDA 2024-25 Result:
Result will be announced by the commission on official website upsc.gov.in and same can be checked by entering application number or roll number provided earlier. Once the written examination is qualified, SSB board will provide a call letter within 10 days for the interview. The choice of interview date will be provided and after clearing the interview, medical examination will be done as a final part of selection.
After clearing all the three tests, candidates are eligible for 3 years training in National Defence Academy and afterwards can serve the nation with her head held high. The NDA Academies will teach you discipline and techniques which can be used with your loyalty, honesty and intelligence in order to get a better future for yourself and Nation too.
