OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Application Form, Exam Date, Pattern, Syllabus : OUCET or Osmania University Common Entrance Test is an university level yearly entrance test for admission in post graduation, post graduation diploma and 5 years integrated programme courses in the Osmania University. OUCET was replaced by Common Post Graduation Entrance Test or CPGET in the year 2018.
Osmania University is the seventh oldest university in India and was established in the year of 1918. University provides Under Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma, Research and Certificate programmes in various disciplines and is accredited by the NAAC as A+graded University. University level CPGET will be conducted in 2nd week of July 2024 whose result will be declared in last week of the same month. OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be a citizen of India.
Osmania University doesn’t apply any restriction on upper age limit of the candidate applying for Post graduate courses.
For post graduation in Science courses, Candidate must have passed or appearing in BSc or equivalent examination from a recognised University or National Open School or equivalent, with minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA scored.
For M.Com courses, applicant must have passed or appearing in B.Com or equivalent examination from a recognised University or equivalent with minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in qualifying examination.
For Masters in Arts, candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university or equivalent with a minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates appearing in bachelor’s degree of any stream can also apply for MA courses.
OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Application Form Details
The examination form will be available from last week of April 2024 and submission can be done till2th week of June 2024 and till 4th week of June 2024 with late fee.
The mode of form submission is online only, and mailing of the hard copy of filled in application form is not required.
The candidates need to register on the official website with the help of contact details, resulting in to creation of user id and password.
The application form required personal, academic, contact and other details and applicants are advised to fill in the details with correct information.
The contact details including email ID must be in working condition as same will be used for future correspondence.
Photograph and digital signature needs to be uploaded in the prescribed format only.
Next step is the submission of non refundable application fee of Rs.800 for general category student and Rs.600 for SC/ ST or Physically handicapped candidates.
Candidates need to submit the application form after filling in all the details and are advised to retain the copy of filled in application form till the time of admission.
OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Exam Pattern
The examination will be held in online mode only and language in which examination will be conducted will be English only.
The question paper with consists of hundred objective questions which needs to be completed in time duration of 1 hour 30 minutes.
For M.Sc courses, the question paper have 2 sections; Section A is of Chemistry with 40 marks and Section B consist of 60 questions. Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Physics and Genetic Biochemistry will be subjects in Section B for all M.Sc courses except M.Sc in Biotechnology. For the latter, Section B have Biotechnology as the subject.
For M.Com courses, the syllabus includes Accounting, Audit, Business organization, IT, General English and current affairs.

OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Admit Card
Admit card can be downloaded official website prior to one week of examination. Candidates can download their admit card with the help of login credentials including date of birth and user id. Hall ticket is compulsory to enter into tur examination hall and students are advised to keep their admit card till the completion of admission process. Students are advised to affix their photograph on the admit card and bring one identity proof along with the hall pass at the examination centre. Admit card is imprinted with instructions and students are advised to read and follow the instructions to the word.
OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Result
Result will be declared by concerned authority through online mode only, tentatively on 2nd week of July 2024. University is not liable to mail the hard copy of result and hence, students need to download their result with the help of Application number and other login credentials.
Cut-off will be declared soon after the result and students securing the cut off or more marks will be qualified for counselling process. Seats availability, difficulty level of examination and other factors determine the cut-off marks.
OUCET (CPGET) 2024 Counselling
Counselling process will be conducted in the month of August 20244 and students called for the process must be available at the center for the document verification and provisional admission. After provisional admission, students need to pay the admission fee, which results in their admission into the course.
