SBI or State Bank of India is one of the largest and renowned governments Bank of India, having multiple branches in India and abroad. Because of high operational demands, bank needs huge human resources who have to be skilled and qualified in order to tackle the operations. For the same, bank organizes SBI Probationary Officer (PO) examination, which will be held in two stages – Preliminary and Mains. SBI PO 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidates must have passed or appearing in graduation or bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised University or equivalent.
The applicant must be under the age bracket of 21 – 30 years as on April 1st, 2024, with relaxation of 5 years for candidate of/ from SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ Army Personnel/ Jammu and Kashmir; 3 years for candidates of non- creamy layer of OBC; ,13 years for Persons with disability of OBC category; 15 years for Persons with disability of SC/ ST and 10 years for Persons with disability of General category applicant.
There are restrictions on attempt which is4 for general category candidate, 7 for general PWD, OBC Candidates. However, there are no restrictions of attempts on SC/ ST category applicants.
SBI PO 2024 Application Form Details: How to Apply
The Application form will be available on official website tentative in the month of April 2024.
The application will be available under the “apply online” sub option under “career” option.
The next step is the registration, which requires correct and working contact details, as same will be used for future correspondence.
Login Id and password will be created after the registration process and same will be provided on mail id and mobile number.
The account needs to be login using the credentials. The application form, then needs to be filled, which include details like personal details, educational qualification, addresses details etc.
Photograph, thumb impression and digital signature needs to be uploaded next in the prescribed format only.
The details must be correct and authentic in order to avoid any mismatch in future.
The application form will then demand examination fee of Rs.750 for general category applicant and Rs.125 for SC/ ST/ PWD category applicants.
The application fee can be paid through online mode including debit card, credit card and net banking.
The form needs to submitted once all the details are rechecked and verified for their authenticity.
The candidates are advised to download and save the filled in application form for future reference.
SBI PO 2024 Exam Pattern
Examination will be conducted in the form of preliminary written test, mains written and Interview.
Preliminary examination
- The examination will be held in online mode only.
- The multiple choice type questions will be asked in each of 3 sections.
- Three sections are Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning Ability.
- The time duration will be 1hour in aggregate.
- The question paper will consist of total of 100 questions, with one mark each.
- The right answers will be rewarded with 1 mark and1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Total of 35 questions will be asked from each of the two sections, i.e. Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The English Language will carry 30 questions.

Mains examination
The examination will be held in online mode.
The question paper will consist of both objective and subjective type questions, and applicants need to answer both type of questions.
Time duration to complete objective question is 3 hours and that of subjective is 30 minutes.
In objective question, four sections will be asked –Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General or Economy or Banking Awareness and English Language.
Reasoning and Computer Aptitude have 45 questions carrying total of 60 marks and time duration is 60 minutes.
Data Analysis and Interpretation have 35 questions carrying total of 60 marks and time duration is 45 minutes.
General or Economy or Banking Awareness have 40 questions carrying total of 40 marks and time duration is 35 minutes.
English Language have 35 questions carrying total of 40 marks and time duration is 40 minutes.
In descriptive or subjective section, two questions will be asked which will test the English language capabilities of applicant and there is no provision of negative marking in this section.
After qualification in both the examination, applicants need to crack the interview, which will be the final stair for the SBI PO examination.
Interview includes Group discussion and Personal Interview, and weightage of each section is of 20 marks.

SBI PO 2024 Admit Card
The admit card will be available on official website and date of issue of admit card will be declared by the authority. The students need to download the same with the help of login credentials provided at the time of registration. In case of any discrepancy in the applicant information imprinted on admit card, former needs to contact competent authority for the changes to be done. The Applicant will not be allowed to enter into the hall without the admit card, so, they are requested to bring the hall ticket along with asked documents with themselves at the time of examination. The students are advised to store the admit card till the completion of admission process, so that same can be produced as and when asked for.
SBI PO 2024 Result
The result will be declared on the official website, on the basis of overall performance of applicant in preliminary, mains and Interview. The result or cut off will be declared depending upon the basis including performance, difficulty level, and category.
It should be noted that applicants who were qualified in preliminary examination can only participate in mains and qualified candidates of mains will further take part in interview.
