Anna University, Tamil Nadu, conducts TNEA or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission every year; for the admission in its Under graduate courses, i.e., B.Tech and B.E. This is University level merit list through which qualified candidates become eligible to get admission in aforesaid courses and University. The university will release a cut off and merit list on the basis of cut off marks, and students are eligible to be admitted on the basis of their score in standard 12th. The application form will be available from 1st week of May 2023 and cut off and merit list will be released further. TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination or Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
The candidates must have secured minimum of 50% marks in PCM with reservation of 5% to OBC and 10% to SC/ ST/ DNC/ MBC/ SCA category students.
For Marine Engineering, the compulsory papers are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
The minimum marks scored by students in PCM must be 60% and 50% in English; for Marine Engineering.
Maximum age limit for Marine Engineering of 25years.
The school in which candidates have passed 10+2 level examination must be in Tamil Nadu.
Students might be of other states, but schooling must be from Tamil Nadu.
In case of students outside of Tamil Nadu, the Nativity certificate needs to be presented.
Candidates who have blood relation with employees of Central Government personnel can also apply.
TNEA 2023 Application Form Details: How to Apply
The Application form will be available on official website for registration till 1st week of July 2023.
The registration requires working and correct contact details including mail id and contact number.
The students have to fill in the Application form after successful registration.
The form demands personal details and educational qualification, along with the submission of application fee.
The Application fee for general category students is Rs.500 and same is Rs.250 for ST/ SC/ SCA.
The form needs to be posted to the Anna University, Tamil Nadu after successful completion along with the required documents.
The documents enclosed includes 10th and 12th Marks sheet and passing certificate, Transfer Certificate, 12th class admit card, Nativity certificate and army personnel proof (if required).
The students must be very cautious regarding the details filled in the form as there will be no further option of correction after final submission.
The students must fill only one Application form for various colleges and courses under the same University.
TNEA 2023 Merit list and Counselling
Cut off is released on the official website after the last submission of application forms. Cut off is released differently for different campuses. On the basis of 12th marks, merit list is released on the website after cut off declaration. The former is released on website mentioning the name of qualified students. Merit list is released most probably on 4th week of June 2023 and selected candidates are being called for next counselling session.
Counselling session starts in 3rd week of July 2023 and students are advised to attend the same in order to become eligible for the admission. Seats are allotted as per the category of students and rank acquired. The students are provided with soft copy of the counselling call letter, which needs to be downloaded and presented in the hard copy in the counselling session. The counselling session will be performed in 5 rounds, which include the choosing up of colleges and courses. Students must deposit the counselling fee in the form of cash or demand deposit. The documents or their photo copies needs to be submitted too amidst the process.
TNEA 2023 Admission
Students whose name were available on merit list and qualify the subsequent counselling are eligible to get admission in the chosen course and College. They were provided with provisional admission letter after the successful completion of counselling process and same needs to be presented to the college at the time of reporting for admission. The students must report on the prescribed date and time in order to avoid cancellation of their admission.
