For Paper- I (Class I to Class V)
- Applicant must pass their Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or passed the last year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BL Ed.) are eligible
- Applicant must pass their Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the last year of 2 year diploma in education or special education are eligible
- Graduate and passed or appearing candidates in the final year of two-year diploma in elementary education are eligible to apply
For Paper- II (Class VI to Class VIII)
- Applicant having Graduation degree with at least 50% marks or appearing in first year of education (B. Ed) can apply
- Applicant must pass their Graduation or appearing candidates in the final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible
- Applicant completed their Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or completed the final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.L.AD.)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing the last year of 4-year B.A. / B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed also eligible
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or presenting in I-year / B. Ed. (special education) are also eligible
