SSC Stenographer 2024 Application Form, Notification, Exam, Group C & D: Staff Selection Commission or SSC, conducts a single level test for several Institutions at national level. Stenographer is someone who is responsible for speech writing, helping in public relations, press conference briefing etc. All India competitive examination is organised by SSC every year for the Group C and Group D recruitment of stenographers. The qualified candidates are recruited in different Ministries like Office of Development Commissioner, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs etc.as per the vacancies available and mark scored. SSC Stenographer 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Applicant should have passed or appearing in 10 + 2 level Examination or Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Examination or equivalent from a recognised State or Board or National open School or equivalent.

Applicant must fall under the age bracket of 18 to 30 years for Grade C and 18 to 27 years for Grade D level examination.

Candidates under SC, ST, OBC, PWD and ex-service men category are provided with age relaxation. Candidates having domicile of Jammu and Kashmir also will get reservation in age.

Citizen of India, Bhutan and Nepalare eligible to fill the application.

Tibetan refugee staying in India with an intention to permanently settle in India is also eligible to apply for SSC stenographer.

Migrated candidates from Burma, Sri Lanka, Eastern African Countries and Pakistan with an intention to permanently settle in India also apply for SSC stenographer.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Application Form: How to Apply

Examination form can be filed in through online mode.

Applicants need to visit on official websitessc.nic.in and register with the help of contact details.

The contact details should be valid and in working condition as OTP will be delivered at mobile number and E-mail ID. The contact details are used for future correspondence too.

After successful registration, applicant will receive username and ID through which login needs to be done.

The applicant needs to provide personal, educational and other contact details in the further parts application form.

Photograph and digital signature needs to be uploaded in the application form in the prescribed format.

Application need to deposit application fee through online or offline mode.

The application fee is Rs.100. However, ST/ SC/ Women/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen are eligible to be exempted from the application fee.

After application fee, applicant need to choose an examination centre from the options available and submit the application form.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted in online mode only and medium of examination is both Hindi and English.

Examination will be conducted in two parts. First part is written test and second part is stenography skill test.

Written test consists of 200 objective type questions 1 mark each and every wrong answer will be penalized with detection of 0.25 marks.

Time duration for first part is 2 hours.

In Part 1, there will be 3 sections,(a) General Intelligence and Reasoning, (b) General Awareness and (c)English Language and Comprehension.

Section a and b consists of 50 questions each and section c consists of 100 questions.

For Group C, in Stenography test, speed must be 80 words per minute and transcription time must be 65 minutes for Hindi and 50 minutes for English.

For Group D, in Stenography test, speed must be 100 words per minute and transcription time must be 55 minutes for Hindi and 40 minutes for English.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Admit Card

The authority will declare the release date of admit card and same will be published on official website of SSC. Applications need to visit the website and download the hall ticket by entering their registration number, date of birth, roll number and captcha. The admit card contains personal details of candidate along with date, time and venue of examination. Credit should go through the details and inform the concerned authority in case of any discrepancy. Candidate should bring hall ticket to the examination centre along with identity proof or other documents, it stated in admit card. Candidates are advised to read and follow the instructions printed on admit card and retain this important piece of paper till the completion of all procedure.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Result

Result of written test will be published on official website of SSC, and candidate need to download the results through login credentials or roll number. The candidates whose name is on the merit list are qualified to take part latter stages of the competition.Separate merit list will be published for different categories while taking care of the reservations. The selection process can be completed and final result will be declaredas per the performance in written test and stenography test.The qualified candidates are eligible to work as stenographers in different Ministries.

English Language and Comprehension: English language, synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, etc

General Intelligence (Reasoning): Verbal and nonverbal type questions, blood relationship concept, problem- solving analysis, arithmetical reasoning, syllogism, number series, visual memory, and much more.

General Awareness: Based on important dates of celebration, current events, book’s author name, scientific research, important sports days, history, general polity, the economy of India, economic sense and Indian constitution, current affairs, newspapers, etc.
